About this banknote
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (Türkiye Cumhuriyet Merkez Bankası) issued the 100,000 Turkish Lira banknote (Pick 206) on August 12, 1996. This note was part of the E7 Emission Group and remained in circulation until its withdrawal on November 5, 2001.
The obverse features a portrait of President Mustafa Kemal Atatürk on the right and the Atatürk Statue in Samsun on the left. The reverse depicts a group of young students presenting flowers to Atatürk. The banknote measures 159 x 70 mm and has a watermark of Atatürk's portrait.
