About this banknote
The Bank of Mexico issued the 1000 pesos banknote (Pick 52t) on February 18, 1977. This release marked the final issuance of the 1000 pesos denomination in the series that began in 1948.
The front of the banknote features a portrait of Cuauhtémoc, the last Aztec emperor, positioned to the left. The reverse side displays the Chichen Itza pyramid at the center. The note measures 155 x 67 mm and was printed by the American Bank Note Company.
