About this banknote
The Central Bank of Turkey (Türkiye Cumhuriyet Merkez Bankası) issued the 100 lira banknote on July 18, 1947, as part of the Fourth Emission Group. This series was introduced to update the national currency and featured the portrait of President İsmet İnönü, who served from 1938 to 1950.
