About this banknote
The Banque Nationale de Belgique issued the 100 franc banknote (Pick 102) between July 1, 1927, and August 2, 1932. This series was introduced to replace the earlier 100 franc notes (Pick 95) and featured updated designs and security features.
The front of the note displays portraits of King Albert I and Queen Elisabeth within a medallion on the left side. The reverse features a blacksmith at right, along with a city view and the coat of arms of Liège. The watermark depicts King Leopold I.
