About this banknote
The Banco Central de Reserva del Perú issued the 10 Soles de Oro banknote in 1962, under Law No. 13958. This series was printed by Thomas De La Rue & Co. Ltd. and released on June 8, 1962. Subsequent issues occurred on September 20, 1963; May 20, 1966; May 25, 1967; and February 23, 1968.
The front of the banknote features a seated Liberty holding a shield and staff with a Phrygian cap, set against an orange and multicolor underprint. The reverse displays the national coat of arms at the center. The note measures 150 x 80 mm and bears the signatures of President Enrique Bellido, Director Emilio Foley, and General Manager Hipólito Larrabure.
