The Central Bank of Kenya issued the 10 Shillings banknote (Pick 7c) on July 1, 1972. This series, introduced in 1969, featured the signature of the third Governor of the Central Bank, Duncan Ndegwa, who served from 1967 to 1982.
The obverse displays a front-right facing bust of President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta at the left, with the national coat of arms at the center.
