The Central Bank of Egypt issued the 10-pound banknote (Pick 64) on August 18, 2003. This series was introduced under the governorship of Farouk Abdel Baky El Okda, who served from 2003 to 2013.
The obverse features the Al-Rifai Mosque in Cairo, with the date positioned at the top left under the serial number and the governor's signature to the right. The reverse displays a statue of King Khephren with Horus behind his head. The banknote measures 150 x 70 mm and includes a watermark of Tutankhamun, used from August 18, 2003, to November 27, 2006.
