The obverse features a portrait of José Martí in an oval frame on the right and an image of Civic Square (now Revolution Square) at the center. The reverse displays the Cuban coat of arms at the center, with scenes of sugar cane harvesting on the left and industrial processing on the right. This banknote was demonetized on August 4, 1961.
