The Polish State Loan Bank (Polska Krajowa Kasa Pożyczkowa) issued the 100,000 marek banknote on August 30, 1923, during a period of severe hyperinflation in Poland. This high-denomination note was introduced to address the rapidly devaluing currency and facilitate larger transactions.

The obverse features intricate guilloche patterns with the denomination numerals in ornamental rosettes on both sides. The reverse displays the Polish eagle emblem from the 1919–1927 national coat of arms at the center, surrounded by ornamental designs.
