The Polish State Loan Bank (Polska Krajowa Kasa Pożyczkowa) issued the 10 Marek banknote on August 23, 1919. This issuance was part of Poland's efforts to establish a national currency following the country's regaining of independence in 1918.

The obverse of the banknote features the coat of arms of Poland (White Eagle) on the left and a portrait of Tadeusz Kościuszko on the right. The reverse displays a crowned eagle. The note measures 142 x 91 mm and was printed by W&S.
