The Polish State Loan Bank (Polska Krajowa Kasa Pożyczkowa) issued the 100 marek banknote on December 9, 1916, during the German occupation of Poland in World War I. This issuance followed the establishment of the bank by the German administration to introduce a new currency, the Polish marka, equivalent to the German mark.
The front of the banknote features a crowned eagle at the left, with the text "Zarząd Generał-Gubernatorstwa" (General-Governorate Administration). The reverse displays facing busts of Minerva at the left and right. This note, cataloged as Pick 15, was printed by S. Manitius Press in Łódź, Poland.
