The Nationalbanken i Kjøbenhavn issued the 10 Kroner banknote in 1928, as part of a series introduced in 1913. This series, known as the Heilmann type I, was first issued in July 1913 and remained in circulation until its demonetization on 26 July 1945.
The obverse of the banknote features brown lettering and denomination surrounded by ornamentation of seaweed. The first signature, "V.", is accompanied by three lions. The watermark consists of a dark number "10". The note measures 130 × 79 mm and is printed on paper. The printing was carried out by the Nationalbanken i Kjøbenhavn.
