Об этой банкноте
The Banque de France issued the 10 francs Berlioz banknote from 1974 to 1980, replacing the previous 10 francs Voltaire note. This series was created on November 23, 1972, and was printed between November 5, 1974, and December 31, 1980. The note was demonetized on September 15, 1986.
The front of the banknote features a portrait of composer Hector Berlioz at the right, based on an 1832 painting by Émile Signol, depicting him conducting in the Chapelle des Invalides in Paris during the first performance of his Requiem. The back shows the same portrait of Berlioz on the left, with Rome's Villa Medici in the background. The banknote measures 140 x 76 mm and was signed by Morant, Bouchet, and Vergnes.
