Об этой банкноте
The Banque de France issued the 10 francs "Voltaire" banknote on January 4, 1963, with circulation commencing on January 2, 1964. This series replaced the previous 10 nouveaux francs "Richelieu" note and remained in circulation until December 6, 1973. The note was officially withdrawn on December 31, 1980, and ceased to be legal tender on September 15, 1986.
The front of the banknote features a portrait of François-Marie Arouet, known as Voltaire, holding a quill pen, with the Palais des Tuileries and the Seine River in the background. The reverse depicts Voltaire with the Château de Cirey in Lorraine behind him. The note measures 150 x 80 mm and includes a watermark of Voltaire's portrait. The design was created by Jean Lefeuvre, with engravings by Robert Armanelli, Jules Piel, and Gilbert Poilliot.
