Об этой банкноте
The 500 krooni banknote, issued by the Bank of Estonia in 1994, features Carl Robert Jakobson (1841–1882), a prominent figure in Estonia's national awakening. The reverse side depicts a barn swallow in flight over a rural pond. This series introduced silver ink and a new style of serial numbers. A notable security feature is the latent denomination "500" visible when the note is held up to the light.
In 1994, the Bank of Estonia also issued a 50-kroon banknote, featuring composer Rudolf Tobias (1873–1918) on the obverse and the Estonia Theatre on the reverse. The 500-kroon note was commonly dispensed by ATMs and used for cashing checks.
