The Nationalbank in Copenhagen issued the 50 Kroner banknote in 1919, during the reign of King Christian X. This note was part of a series introduced between 1911 and 1928, designed by Gerhard Heilmann.
The obverse features three fishermen in a boat pulling in a net, surrounded by ornamentation of hops. The reverse displays the crowned national coat of arms, flanked by oak branches on the left and beech branches on the right. The watermark includes a dark "50" with a light shadow, surrounded by five flowers.
