The 25 penni banknote, issued by Suomen Pankki (Bank of Finland) on December 4, 1918, was part of Finland's first series of banknotes following its declaration of independence from Russia in 1917. This series was introduced to establish a distinct national currency, replacing the Russian ruble. The 25 penni note was printed in a total of 19,148,200 pieces and remained in circulation until its demonetization on July 1, 1945.
