The Courantbank in Copenhagen issued the 1 Rigsdaler Courant banknotes between 1788 and 1804, during the reign of King Christian VII (1766–1808). These notes were introduced to facilitate trade and standardize currency within Denmark.
The obverse features an ornate design with a large "E" on the left, signifying "Een" (one), and anti-counterfeiting text vertically aligned on the right. The note measures 185 × 100 mm and is printed on blue paper. Handwritten signatures and an impressed royal coat of arms authenticate the note.
